Clear Channel ƹϴý’s iHeartƹϴý Debuts Today On Microsoft’s Xbox 360
New iHeartƹϴý Brings More Than 800 Live Broadcast and Digital-Only ƹϴý Stations, Plus Custom Stations To Xbox LIVE, the Premium Online Entertainment Service for Xbox 360
New York, NY – December 13, 2011 – Clear Channel ƹϴý, the leading media company in America with a greater audience reach than any radio or television outlet, announced today that the New iHeartƹϴý, Clear Channel’s free, industry-leading digital radio service, is now available on Microsoft’s Xbox 360, the No. 1 selling entertainment console in the United States.
The New iHeartƹϴý service offers users the chance to control their favorite iHeartƹϴý stations with their voice or hand via Kinect for Xbox 360. Xbox LIVE Gold members who have Xbox 360, but do not have Kinect, can still enjoy the New iHeartƹϴý experience using their controller. All Xbox LIVE Gold members will have access to the New iHeartƹϴý’s features, including more than 800 of the nation's most popular live broadcast and digital-only radio stations from 150 cities, plus custom stations with more songs, better music intelligence and more user control.
Xbox 360 users are also able to connect their New iHeartƹϴý accounts to Xbox LIVE for immediate access to many of the New iHeartƹϴý services and compelling social features through iHeartƹϴý’s relationship with Facebook. This initiative builds on Clear Channel’s and Microsoft’s previous partnerships to integrate iHeartƹϴý on Windows Phone 7 as well as to stream the iHeartƹϴý Music Festival, the incredibly successful two-day concert event which took place September 23 and 24 in Las Vegas, in HD exclusively on the Xbox 360.
“We’re excited about the debut of the New iHeartƹϴý on Xbox 360 and to bring this first-of-its-kind experience to our iHeartƹϴý listeners,” said Brian Lakamp, President of Clear Channel Digital. “This is another example of how we are committed to offering personal music experiences wherever our listeners are.”
